The FAQ’s

How much space do you need?

Ideally 5m (w) x 3m (d) is best, but we can squeeze into 3.5m (w) x 3m (d) at a push.

Where will you travel to?

We’re based in Mildenhall, Suffolk but have played all over the UK.

Are your videos a true reflection of the band?

Yes. The audio in the videos was recorded 100% LIVE.

How do I book you?

Via the contact us page, email or social media (Facebook/Instagram). Just send us a message and we will get back to you as soon as possible.

Are you able to DJ in between sets?

Yes. We can play background music. If you have your own playlists etc. you are more than welcome to play them through our PA system via an auxiliary cable to a phone, tablet, or laptop.

What equipment do you use?

We have a fantastic Allen & Heath QU24 Digital Mixing Desk which is paired with two Yamaha DSX 18″ subs, 2 x DXR15 1,100 watt 15″ speakers and 2 x DXR10 1,100 watt 10″ speakers.

We use equipment from the following brands: Gibson, Fender, Gretsch, Blackstar, Marshall, Ashdown, Tama, Sabian, Roland, Shure. We all use in-ear monitors.

Do you have lights?

Yes. We have an amazing lighting rig.

How long do you play for?

We usually play 2 hour long sets. However we can arrange this into 3 x 40 minute sets if that is preferable.

What time do you start and finish?

We can start and finish whenever you like and try to be as flexible with regards to each client’s needs.

How long do you take to set up?

It usually takes around between two – three hours (depending on the lighting package selected) to get set up and sound checked. However, each venue is different and sometimes it can take longer to get the sound just right so we like to arrive a minimum of two hours before your guests to give us plenty of time.

Can I provisionally book you?

Yes, if available we will “pencil” a date in for you

What if the band split up before my event?

This is a highly unlikely but you never know. We will always do our best to play, but if there was a problem we would help with finding a suitable replacement.

Can I sing with your band?

Unfortunately we don’t allow guest singers to join in.

What will the band wear?

The band dress to match the event type / clients’ instructions and generally, are fairly flexible with dress codes. Usually we dress in a casual way. Jeans, t-shirts etc.

Does the band have PAT and PLI certificates?

Yes, all of our equipment is PAT tested regularly and we can provide details of our oublic liability Insurance policy if required

Why should I book Heathen?

Heathen are an excellent band who always give 100%. The band itself have been going for over 10 years and have built up a reputation as being one of the finest in East Anglia. If you book us we guarantee you won’t be disappointed.

How much does it cost to book the band?

Our prices start from £300 for events up to 50 miles from Mildenhall in Suffolk.

What are the bands power requirements?

The band require two double 13 amp plug sockets reasonably close to the stage, as is it is unsafe to try to run all of our equipment off less.

Do Heathen offer any additional services?

We can also provide background music via a playlist through our PA.
